Safemotion for all encoder types?

If you choose a ctrlX Drive with safe motion. 

Does that mean you will have safe motion for all availabe encoder interfaces?

So for XG20: Acurolink , ctrlX Sense (MS2N/MS2S)

and XG21 : Hyperface , Resolver , Endat 2.2  (MSK / MS2N as/am/bs/bm motors/third party motors)

Correct, if SafeMotion option and the multi-encoder option are present one can select the safety encoder to work either for XG20 or XG21 interface. Mind that at the very moment SafeMotion only works with AcuroLink encoders on XG20 or EnDat2.2 encoder (with FailSafe) on XG21.

Other encoder interfaces like the mentioned Hiperface are not yet supported. Get in touch with your local or regional sales representative to learn more about the schedule of when encoder interfaces will be supporting SafeMotion.

An addition to the post:

The encoder of MS2S motors ctrlX SENSEmotor ist not suitable for safe motion application. You can only use this MS2S motors in combination with STO function of an ctrlX DRIVE.
