Hello,
I'm trying to use the Applciation CRC parameter to verify my parameters loaded correctly in a serial commissioning way. But, I'm running into issues with using it.
For testing, I have loaded a parameter file into an XMD2 on both axes, with identical motors plugged into each. For all intents and purposes, I expect these two axes to be commissioned identically and therefore have an identical Application CRC. However, when I check their values, the CRCs do not match.
I went into Drive Engineering and compared parameters between teh two axes and the only two parameters that were different with the backup parameter list is S-0-0534 and P-0-0508, which I believe are both parameters that come from the motor encoder. Unforutnatley, both parameters are listed in S-0-0192 meaning the CRC is checking them as part of the CRC check. This appears to be a mistake, as this means any system with a digital encoder will not provide a reliable CRC response.
Is there anything that can be done to resolve this? Is there a way to change S-0-0192 to remove certain parameters like this?

Please provide the two parameter files that we can check. What drive firmware are you using?

As different offset parameters for e.g. commutation or absolute position offsets are different the CRC check sums are different. See attachment.
You would need to create your own to be saved parameter set in the backup working memory. This one then should be showing equivalent CRC check sums.
