Bosch Rexroth publishes new releases of ctrlX OS, apps and engineering software on a regular cadence. This allows the community, customers and developers regular access to new functionality.

Long-Term Support releases
LTS or ‘Long Term Support’ releases are published once a year end of July. LTS releases have been validated in the field and are recommended for most serial applications. They are maintained over several years in the form of service packs (SPx) with bug fixes and security updates.
ctrlX CORE devices are delivered ex-works with the ctrlX OS LTS release, under a different order number for each LTS release.
LTS releases are available via the crlX Store. For download only a myRexroth user account is necessary.

Early Adopter releases
Early adopter releases are published every 4 months between LTS versions. They provide the newest features and serve the field validation. Early adopter releases are supported for 4 months and do not receive bugfix or updates after that period. They are available for download until the functionality is integrated into the next LTS release.
The newest early adopter releases are stored in an area with restricted access. (see Access level 3)
