ctrlx-HMI Architecture for tags number above 1K with WebIQ

Hello,

What is the solution with WebIQ above 1K tags ?

From the presentation on WebPanels I can see that they can handle up to 4K, does this means that the runtime is on the WebPanel instead of ctrlX core ?

Hi,

We will provide the Smart HMI WebIQ Server software for our IPC with RM22.07. This is the solution for >1.000 tags.

Webpanels are "active devices" that means that they have a web browser on board to connect to web servers on ctrlX CORE (e.g. WebIQ Server) or IPCs. The web browser is used to show the webpages that will be provided by these servers.

Also for the WebIQ Server on the ctrlX CORE you can have more than 1k tags. You can simply add several licenses and the tag number will stack up.

But beware that your client has to calculate all the screens and keep the communication running. Therefore check if higher tag numbers will work on your used HMI client device.

You can minimize load with keeping the number of simultaneously used tags low.
