OPC UA Server | Minimum Sampling and Publishing Intervall

Hi,

we are trying to increase the data rate of our OPC UA Server on the ctrlX-Core. The Sampling an the Publishing intervall can be set down to 1ms in the Subscription Settings of Server. But we only get new data every 60 to 70 ms.

Is there an internal limit for the data transfer?

Hi Jochen,

we suppose you didn't adapt the settings for datalayer susbcriptions which is used internal in the ctrlX CORE for the opc ua subscription. For your opc ua subscription settings we advise to adapt the datalayer subscription settings corresponding to the values in the screenshot below:

Of course value changes are only delivered if the data value has changed. Thus it is required to verify your subscription settings with a variable changing at least every 1 ms.

We see that the dependency to the datalayer subscription is not well documented, thus we will add a corresponding advice in our documentation. Additionally we think about a better mechanism to avoid a manuel configuration in the datalayer subscription settings.
