Accidentally downloading .tar files from the collaboration room

When downloading single apps from the collaboration room sometimes an "Name.app.tar" file is downloaded.

Why does this happen and what to do about it?

This seems to be a Firefox only problem. Somehow the browser adds the .tar extension to your .app file.

Simply delete the .tar ending to get the correct working app file: "Name.app.tar" -> "Name.app".
Do not unpack the .tar because the snap inside will lose its signature and cannot be installed as trusted anymore.
