Device Bridge - How licenses & tags are managed and maximum device load

When using the "Device Bridge" app, how are tags & licenses managed? I put an example.

• If I have a 2000 Tags - 20 Devices license, is it possible to distribute the tags and variables as the following:
  • Assign 500 tags (variables) to 1 device (PLC)
  • Assign 1000 tags to another PLC
  • Assign 100 Tags to 1 device/PLC
  • Assign 100 Tags to 1 device/PLC
  • Assign 100 Tags to 1 device/PLC
  • Assign 200 Tags to 1 device/PLC
  • 1,000 + 500 + 100 + 100 + 100 + 200 = 2,000 Tags / 6 Devices (Is this possible?)

In other words, is it possible to:

• Is it possible to assign more than 100 tags to 1 device if the license still has tags available?
• Is it possible not to use all the devices from the license but all the tags?
• Which is the maximum load (Devices & tags) each CtrlX can handle (X3, X5 & X7).
• Can the "device bridge app" be connected to the Nexeed MES system?
  • Is there any point of contact I can reach for implementations with the Nexeed MES system?

Thanks for your query...

• The DeviceBridge license count calculated based on Device or Tag count. 1 Device or 100 Tags = 1 License.
• If you have  2000 Tags in 1 device, then 20 license will calculated.
• If you have 5 device's and each device having 100 Tags, then the license counts is 5.
• If you have 2000 Tags ,if you distrubte into multiple device's  (Ex: Device 1 - 1,000 , Device 2 - 500 , Device 3 - 100, Device 4 - 100, Device 5 - 100, Device 6 - 200), then the license counts is 20 ( Ex: Device 1 - 10 license, Device 2 - 5 license, Device 3 - 1 license, Device 4 - 1 license, Device 5 - 1 license, Device 6 - 2 license).
• If lincese available, yes you can add the more that 100 tags in 1 Device itself.
• Yes, you can use all the tags.
• Which is the maximum load (Devices & tags) each CtrlX can handle (X3, X5 & X7). Need more clarity on this questions?
• Yes, from DeviceBridge you can send the data to Nexeed MES system.  You can find in  connector -> Bosch -> Nexxed MES DDL and assign the IP address and Port number.

Hello Support Team,

If requirement is to handle more than 2000tags then is recommened to use based of the Device or tag count. or will it be the limiation to use maximum of 2000tags / 20devices.

Does the this device or tag count is applicable for those from where the Device bridge app will collect the tag informations? or to the deliverable target also get counted here.

like below

1PLC + 100 tags => data to be delivered to SQL & MES : will the license count 1Device 100tag sufficient here? or should we also count the SQL & MES as devices?
