ctrlX I/O is an EtherCAT based I/O system. Also for the local operation of the I/O with the ctrlX CORE plus the I/O are connected via EtherCAT. Therefore the ctrlX I/O must also be configured here via I/O Engineering with EtherCAT.

If you are going to us a ctrlX COREplus, you do not need an additional Bus Coupler. With a ctrlX CORE X3 you will need a Bus Coupler XB-EC-12 as interface between EtherCAT and ctrlX I/O.
