I tested connecting a USB to ETH device to the USB port of the ctrlX core. This does not seem to be suppored, if you connect a WLan dongle you will get this as an extra network interface in your network interaces menu. This does not happen with USB-to-ETH I tried multiple. You can use howver both XF10 and XF51 if you need multiple Ethernet interfaces bith with their own IP settings.

looks like your IP settings are incorrect. Check you subnetmask and default gateway. This needs to match with your PC settings. Looks like you use XF10 with the default 192.168.1.1/24 setting (255.255.255.0) since this is a common IP address it might be if you ping from your PC another device is responding so you can also check if ping does not work from your PC if you remove the cable to the ctrlX XF10 Mine can ping even to other subnets: My IP is: 10.119.131.181/21

ctrlx-core does not use SDcard to run from but the more reliable MMC. You can see the wear level in the setings => information => resources menu This is the screen of one of our cores we havily use for automatic updates. You can see it moved to the 10-20% range. Most are still in 0-10% after 2 years of operation so the problem is for sure small in daily usage.

@Brant which version of the systemapps are you using. I discoverred this too in the past and asked to get it changed. I can confirm with V1.20 it is again possible to configure static IP address in the IPv4LL range. We needed this beacuse IPv4LL was not supported before (V1.12) and in systems wich use IPv4LL we needed to configure this hardcoded. This change would cause the IP address to change after update. If you really want to use IPv4LL just flip the switch and you get an address autoatically

In the network menu you should have a WiFi tab. There you can delete your current connection and crete a new one with the '+' button. See below This is using version 1.20
