You have to:
insert your device
format it as EXT4
mount it
modify the influxdb configuration, upload it and activate it
reboot

Using the python runtime app is quite limit in its functionality and only libraries (.py files) not using any dlls can be used.
For full functionality you will have to build your own snap bringing your own python runtime and packages with it. See SDK documentation on GitHub.
