ctrlX PLC Gateway does not get installed with ctrlX WORKS

I had a problem with my ctrlX PLC Gateway. It was in a restart loop. I tried to use the repair tool for the ctrlX Works, as I got the gateway with this program. Didn't work, so I tried reinstalling. I deleted ctrlX Works, but I noticed that the ctrlX PLC Gateway was still there. So I deleted the gateways folder manually and erased the registry entry for it. I reinstalled ctrlX Works, but the gateway wouldn't install with it, and I don't know how to get it. Is there a way to force ctrlX Works to install the gateway while?

It never a good idea to manipulate the file structure directly by hand as then we cannot know the exact state on the OS.

Following could be tried:

1. If only one ctrlX WORKS installation is on the PC:
   1. Uninstall this version and delete folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Rexroth\iwpm\*.*" manually
   2. Install ctrlX WORKS
2. If more then one ctrlX WORKS installation is on the PC:
   1. Delete only gateway files in path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Rexroth\iwpm\"
      1. PlcStudio.Gateway.dll
      2. PlcStudioGateway.Buildinfo.log
      3. PlcStudioGateway.iwspec
   2. Install ctrlX WORKS

Thank you, it worked. Unfortunately it didn't solve my initial problem with the restart loop. I'm going to use the gateway in a VM for now.
