ctrlX IO XB-EC-12 not connected state at EtherCAT master

An EC Device can be successful scanned and added, after activate&download the EtherCAT configuration to the EtherCAT Master with the crlX IO Engineering the EC Device appear as not connected. This is confusing. Because its present at the EtherCAT but not working.

I’m using v1.12 ctrlX Works and ctrlX IO Engineering with latest ESI files for ctrlX IO.

Issue is a revision mismatch between the ESI and the ctrlX IO XB-EC-12 bus coupler firmware.

1. XB-EC-12 FW v1.0.0 or v1.2.0 have revision 0x0000_0100
2. XB-EC-12 FW v1.4.0 has revision 0x0001_0100

ctrlX IO Engineering v1.12 cannot handle this two diffrent revision in the ESI, issue doesn’t happen with ctrlX Works v1.20.0 or later.

You have two options to solve in ctrlX Works v1.12

• Remove latest ESI and switch to older version, like XB-EC-12 ESI from ESI package v1.8.2
• Firmware update of the bus coupler XB-EC-12 to latest firmware FW v1.4.0
