question concerning post: https://connect.bosch.com/blogs/2460cbaf-aa8e-4526-a281-9336a8d0ce5a/entry/ctrlX_COREplus_is_availab...
When I read " With its multi-Ethernet interface, ctrlX COREplus can initially be connected to higher-level third-party control systems" , does it mean that we can not be multi-ethernet slave with "old" CtrlX X3 ?
Because I thought we already could be slave for multi-ethernet with R911406308 COREX-C-X3-11-ANNN-21.01-01RS-NN-NN on port XF51 ?
As we can see it on some presentations.

So far the Codesys libraries for field bus communication were available: https://developer.community.boschrexroth.com/t5/Store-and-How-to/CODESYS-Fieldbus-Communication/ba-p...
They can be used on the ctrlX CORE (Compact) without hardware extension. They are not certified, but in certains applications propably sufficient.

Ok that's clear, thank's
Does that mean that in the CtrlX CORE plus, the fieldbus are certified by the hardware extension ? and what is the certification ?

At the moment on the ctrlX COREplus X3 only the PROFINET device is available.
The hardware extension MultiEthernet in the COREplus X3 is certified as a PROFINET device. (certification by PROFIBUS organization). The certificate confirms that the product has successfully passed the certification tests.

Does this mean that there is an actual difference in the hardware itself? Would you get much better performance from the PROFINET App when using the Multi-Ethernet extension on the ctrlX CorePlus than you would on the ctrlX Core X3 with the Codesys fieldbus libraries? If so, are there benchmarks for what bus cycle times/variable count/connections are possible in each case?
