i am having multiple issues with a WiFi connection and my core.  When i add networks and save, the connection is not always started.  If i cycle the adapter enable, sometimes the connection will start.  when the power is cycled the known networks are not retained.  I have been able to get a successful connection radomly.

Did you mean RM21.03 and so the version 1.8 of the system? As this was an early prerelease prototype there is no support for this version any longer possible. Please use at least the actual official sales version 1.12 that can be found in the ctrlX STORE area in our collaboration room and give it a try.

Hello elemay,

please consider to check the Chipset manufactured in the TP-Link TL WN823N if possible.
They modified the internals and maybe thats part of the rootcause.

We checked on RM21_11 release with TP_Link device having (chipset is rtl8192eu) and the automatic startup worked.

Could you please try the same and return. It the Network setting present after the startup?

I will get further infos beginn of next week and return to you.

Bye

updating to the most current 21.11 and will update after

i am using the same adapter with the chipset you have.  the only time i am able to make and keep a connection is the first time the adapter is plugged into the device.  i am never able to make a connection after unless i do an image update and then the first time it will connect and work.  the saved network and security information is not retained with a power cycle.  i am using rm21.11

We could reproduce the lost settings issue after reboot in version 1.18.2 of our system (RM22.11.2) and are investigating it.

We just tested it in the version 1.20 of our system and there it is working fine.

The issue is still present for me. If i delete the SSID and add it again it works, but auto-connect is not working.

I am using the newest versions and the TP-Link TL WN823N.

Any suggestions?

As we could not reproduce this, is it still an issue at your side?
