Good afternoon
Can someone explain what the functionality of these tasks, motionHighPrep and schedBackground, is and how they relate to the rest?
It gives the impression that MotionHighPrep should be something that is activated during system startup or Ethercat cycling. Should the execution value be the same as the Ethercat or can it differ?
As for the other one, it seems that it is a background task, which, in other cases, such as in the XM would be used for communications or the connections with Indraworks, is that the case or what is it used for?
Is there a manual that specifies these two tasks or can we know why I have them on the ctrlX Core 3 I'm testing with?
Best Regards

Hi Jordi
unfortunately there is not much to find in the manual at the moment.
The schedBackground task is always available in the default configuration of the scheduler, without any additional app installed. It runs at a low priority and is used for background tasks, like persisting the nvram.
The task motionHighPrep gets created with the installation of the ctrlX Motion App. The callable inside this task will prepare a motion command for the execution, which is send unbuffered to the motion app. For that it needs to prepare the command very quick in a very high prior task.
Best regards
Nick
