Virtual machine (VirtualBox) crashes when hardware acceleration is active

Hi there,

I need some help.

I just started using the SKD. We are using ctrlX-Works (V 0118.2) in a virual machine (VirtualBox Version 7.0.6 Windows). When starting the app build enviroment it takes quite a long time until the boot process is finished. In the getting started it is recommended to activate the hardware acceleration. So here is the problem.

If we activate the harware acceleration the virtual machine (VirtualBox) crashes and restarts. 

Is this a known issue?

Hi Simon, 

I don't know why your virtual box crashes, when you install the hardware acceleration. Which hardware acceleration did you install? The Windows Feature Hypervisor Platform or the Intel Haxm?

But I'm not sure if it is possible to use the hardware acceleration in a vbox machine anyway. I think these questions you would have to ask to oracle. 

Nevertheless, I would suggest installing ctrlX WORKS directly on the host and use the hardware acceleration there.
