ctrlX CORE X3 with Profinet Device App

Hi @CodeShepherd, can ctrlX CORE X3 installed with the ctrlX-CORE-PROFINET-Device-App be used to communicate with R911174436 S67E-S3-IOL8-DI4-M12-6P ?

You will need to have a ctrlX CORE^plus X3 with the IO extension module attached to use the PROFINET device app. But as the name already suggests there is no scanner it is only a device.

UPDATE: Thanks to @MauroRiboniMX for a hint. You could for sure also use the CODESYS soft master. Be aware that with this the number of useable devices is quite limited.

The profinet "device" app implements a profinet Slave device to communicate with a slave you need a profinet Controller which is not yet available with our official apps but can be implemented with the codesys List of codesys connectors. 

I personally have tried the device. i was able to get the exchange data (cyclic channel) active but not the acyclic. I am no expert on PN so maybe i have lost some step. 

No core plus is needed, a simple x3 can be used.
