No download available for ctrlX PLC V1.20

Hi all,

I have a project created with ctrlX PLC V1.20. That version cannot be downloaded anywhere. Only the older 1.12 is available. What am I doing wrong?

Hello,

Are you looking to download the ctrlX PLC V1.20 tool, or download a V1.20 project to a target device? The tool is available as part of the ctrlX Works V1.20 package in the collaboration rooms.

If you are trying to download a project to a target device, make sure the device description in the PLC project matches the app version on the device.

the target is not the problem, update is available (PLC app 1.20).

I am looking for the ctrlX WORKS suite 1.20 for trying out with Nexeed framework -> But download page displays 1.12:

There must be a link to 1.2x for ctrlX WORKS...

I'm not sure why that is the version in the Store. Check at this path.

Thanks, but I am missing that sub menu "ctrlX CORE APPS releases" on the web page.

Now I am even more confused about what's going wrong 🤔

Are you registered as a ctrlX World Partner or a Rexroth employee? See How-to Collaborate

@mabi1977_atro you will not have to have access to the pre-release are to get access to the 1.20 PLC Engineering. It will be published in the next days in the ctrlX Store area in the collaboration room just where your did look for it.

If needed anyway please have a look to the FAQ for ctrlX Store for further information how to get access.

Hi @CodeShepherd, thanks for information. I am still confused about the access logic. For a long time everybody talks about ctrlX, Nexeed has already integrated it officially, we are building many machines with Nexeed, but the correct (maybe beta) version of ctrlX is still only accessible to certain people.

FAQs talk about "world partner", but nobody explains what that is exactly 🤔 Who can gain me access, if we have no current project with ctrlX but want to test the usability of the software for future projects, who is our "partner"?

For logic of release cycles general see "Release cycle of apps and engineering software". Once a year we release a software/firmware version to our production. These will be put to the open access area like ctrlX STORE on collaboration room and nexeed device portal. Currently available 1.12 (2022), 1.20 (2023).

The release in between are so called pre-release versions. Access to these is restricted to prototype customers and internal people, as there could be more questions and support effort needed.
