Yes, That is the bug happening with the workaroung. When you do that settings that is no more working. with 1.20.9 will be fixed

Regarding this, we are not allowed to ship the older versions, for security reasons. Checked now. if there is for example a vulnerability, we have to patch it and we are not allowed to ship the vulnerable version anymore. This is the law.

@Bobby next release will be 1.20.9 for node-red and will solve that. by that time i suggest you to use the "workaround" or either move to 2.6.x Globally the fix for this problem is integrated in version: 1.20.9, 2.6.5, 3.2.0.
