Did this require any particular set of hardware? I have an application that would use serial to the ctrlX with something like this. My hope is that I can get a continuous stream of data and parse it in NodeRed.

SOLVED: i tried with a different PC and then i discovered that the problem was my Indraworks DS installation. now it's working fine again.
