With the Inline IO there was a recommended sequence for the IO, is there something similar for the ctrlX IO?

Codesys uses null-terminated strings, the string is missing the null at the end. You can use the IL_BufferToString function to get a properly terminated string.

What port is it plugged into on the EFC? This is the error I see when plugged into the wrong port.
