Hello stefanAT_ctrlX, Thank you for the information. Both files were in the same folder. We also tried installing the BoschRexroth_ctrlX_SAFETY_SAFEX_C12_C15_ModulesECAT.xml manually. Are the FSoE Master connections installed from the BoschRexroth_ctrlX_SAFETY_SAFEX_C12_C15_ModulesECAT.xml or BoschRexroth_ctrlX_SAFETY_SAFEX_C12_C15_ECAT.xml file? Are the FSoE Master and FSoE Slave connections installed from different XML files or are the FSoE Master and Slave connections installed from the same XML file? The FSoE Slave connections did get installed, just the FSoE Master connections were not installed. Is there an overview of which elements are installed with each XML file?

Hello, After installing the correct SAFEX-C1x device description file for the running firmware\FPGA we still had the 0x001E: Invalid Input Configuration. What we found was the elements for the FSoE Master Connections did not get installed: After several attempts of uninstalling - reinstalling we exported the missing elements from another PC and installed them manually, this process worked: Here is some additional information about the PC and I/O Engineering:

Hello, You are welcome, glad to hear it helped. I do not know where to find release notes for the software, usually they are part of the *.zip download. Hopefully one of our other colleagues can help. Password management is part of firmware release 1.0.1.45, release notes are available here: https://docs.automation.boschrexroth.com/doc/671056781/safex-c1x-release-notes-safety-release-notes-firmware-1-0-1-45/latest/en/ Here is the note about password protected access from the link above: You can confirm the loaded firmware version when connected to the SAFEX-C1x control by clicking on the Diagnostics icon then the System Info tab from the Diagnostics Device window.

Hello Andrea, The first message is "normal" when the opened project that just connected does not match the project currently running\loaded in the control. For the second picture it looks like you may have a control unit with the latest firmware and password management active. Please try clicking on the "Secure" (key) icon then enter default password (boschrexroth). If successful, the "Send Configuration" and other icons should become active then you can Send Configuration (download) the project.

Hello Max1, Thank you for the parameter file. According to the type code you have SafeMotion M5. When transitioning from normal operation to a safe mode such as Emergency Stop there are two methods: NC-Controlled or Drive-Controlled. NC-Controlled means the motion controller will issue a stop command when a safety function is triggered and the safety technology monitors the deceleration process. For example the e-stop button was pressed. The drive will wait for the transition time to elapse then if the drive is not stopped issue an error and stop the drive based on the error reaction settings. Drive-Controlled means the drive firmware will issue a stop command when a safety function is triggered and the safety technology monitors the deceleration process. I see in your parameters that drive-controlled is selected, this means the motion control must issue the stop command and the safety technology monitors the deceleration process. Depending on your risk assessment and application you may be able to change this to drive-controlled. I would recommend contacting your local Bosch Rexroth office for application assistance to ensure the drive is configured correctly for your application - risk assessment. The transition values seem extremely large but I do not know your application. Again, you should contact your local support office for application assistance.
