To clarify what you are doing: Fieldbus is running with one DTE103 configured Second one is added and new configuration is transmitted to the EtherCat master Second hardware is connected to the EtherCat Error occurs Some hints: EtherCat can actually not perform any hot plug functionality Configuration has to be transferred to the master to get used You need to connect all hardware and then run your fieldbus up to OP In our EtherCat master the addressing is automatically given with "AutoInc" mode: ctrlX IO Engineering EtherCat addressing

I had some more talks to our R&D about this topic: System image and Setup file can be used to automatically reinstall all apps and data e.g. for serial commissioning. The data and description that needs to be used are different for X3 and X7. See descriptions as soon as available. Using USB stick for image reset is useable for X3 since the release 1.18.0. Publishing of the description is planed for the patch 1.18.2. Feature is useable for X7 from the patch version 1.18.2 that will release in the next days. Description see e.g. actual release notes. The data for X7 will be published with the release of patch 1.18.2 Customer does not create own images but uses the setup tool that is part of the ctrlX CORE webUI to create the data that is needed additionally to the base system

Could you please tell us the version of the ctrlX CORE - Motion, - IDE and - Python Runtime app you are using? Please keep in mind that there are two ways of running a script. Like I mentioned in this post. The script created by the graphical programming is made for the usage on a ctrlX CORE in our python runtime. So the python interpreter running in your browser does probably not have the necessary sources to interpret the script. You will have to choose the option run in script interpreter for this case.
