In the later version of the ctrlX CORE and ctrlX DRIVE firmware the sequences doesn't matter anymore to get everything to work.
Starting with the drive is mentioned because you can use the communication via the control to do so. Starting with the drive control will make a display necessary because this will get the only communication way. So we did not change the description for usability reasons.

As eth1 is also an standard Ethernet port it makes no difference if connected via a switch or directly. Did you use an intelligent switch that probably has the IP you pinged? Which system version are you using?
Please beware that eth0 and eth1 must be in different subnets otherwise it could break your communication.

This error is occurring if the firmware of the ctrlX DRIVEplus is not fitting to firmware of the integrated ctrlX CORE. See release notes for further information.

@thuvarejanX In your picture you see that your SSH port is forwarded to 10022, as your mkdir command is answered the connection seems to work. But your scp command is using port 22, where no backend is answering your query.
