The tool you will want to use instead of IO Engineering is either Indraworks DS or possibly ctrlX Drive Engineering (I haven't tested that personally) to confirm that the ethernet card is set to EtherCAT.

I have noticed in my testing that if you power-up a dual axis ctrlx Drive with a panel plugged in, that both axes appear on the display as intended.
However, if you plug the panel into a dual axis ctrlX Drive after it has already powered up, then only the first axis shows up on the display.
I'm interested to know if anyone can repeat this bug. The main scenario where I could see this being problematic is if you have one panel and multiple dual axis drives and you are trying to set the axis address for all drives through the panel.

I have seen the same behavior with FW V118 and FW V116. I'm curious if there is some intention behind it or if we might be able to get the flexiblity you are requesting in the future.

I'm getting an error with the Axis Interface. Specifically the chunk of code added in 2.6 for the function CyclicStatusDataInit. This is a 30+ axis count system. See the screenshot below for reference. What is the source of this error? I don't have access to that code in the motion interface library.

One common method is to use the PLC app and the library CXA_EtherCATMaster. This gives you access to a number of function blocks for getting or setting the state of master or slave devices.
Below, I'll post some basic sample code to get you started. There are more examples posted in the library example folders in PLC Engineering.
