Ethercat in HCS01

Ethercat in HCS01

Hello,

I am testing with a CtrlX starter Kit version 1.4 and would like to use the Ethercat Master with the HCS01 firmware 20.

I have configured the Drive as a slave to Ethercat SoE, and I have added in the CtrlX I/O repository the thercat xml for CS control cards.

CtrlX I/O recognizes the Drive when scanning the devices, but then an error occurs when passing OP.

Could you tell me the necessary configuration of ethercat for a HCS01.

Thanks in advance.

Is the default configuration valid? Is it necessary to modify any parameter?

Hello David08,

could you please try the setting just changing the Distributed-Clock to freerun-mode.

Return to you tomorrow.

Bye Jens

Hello Jens,

With the freerun-mode configuration and a Load Basic Parameters, the Drive already works with Ethercat correctly.

Thank you very much for the help.

Hello David08,

I just scanned scanned a ID with MPB20V and active ECAT-interface with IOEng from release ctrlXWorks-package 07/20 and the scan worked fine. the default settings with Distr.Clocks setup run instantly. No modifications had been necessary. Please compare your setup on the Ecat-Master (I did not modify them).

Since I can not remember to reloaded a MPX description file the deployment of ctrlX-Works should contain the ones that works for me.

Bye, Jens

PS: Please check and return with your respults anyway.

Hello Jens,
Yes, I have tried again with the default configuration, without touching the Distr.Clocks and it works perfectly. The problem I had yesterday, I think was some parameter out of range because I didn't do a factory reset to the Drive (It was previously working with another fieldbus configuration).

Thanks for everything.

Regards David.
