Maximum number of PLC network variable connections

What is the maximum number of PLC network variable connections that is possible?  We have a current application requirement to send network variable lists to 80 other PLCs.  Potential future configurations could be greater than 100.

A list of 100 PLCs shouldn't be a problem. The IP address has to be a broadcast address, such as 192.168.100.255.
With 100 lists - one list for each control - it could get more difficult. That depends on the specific implementation and needs to be examined more closely.
