Profinet master communication activation

I was expecting the ctrlX drives to have profinet master communication available with the multi-ethernet option on the control section similar to the Indradrive. However on the local panel of the drive only options are EtherCat and Sercos. Also on the drop down menu in ctrlX Drive Engineering no Profinet is available.

When I check the parameter help for P-0-4089.0.1 this is shown:

However when I change the parameter value to 3 and then 4 the drop down menu is updated with Profinet (and EtherNet/IP!)

Anyway after a reboot with profinet activated it seems to stay as the active protocol (ethernet/ip has disappeared from the menu). Next I am goin to try if I can command the drive over profinet. Anyway I don't think what I described above is the way it should be, so it was just my report on things.

Drive firmware is FWA-XD1-AXS-V-0308N-NN.01

Drive engineering version is 01V16.1

Thanks for sharing the information. Yes, correct, this is the behavior at the very moment. With the next release of the ctrlX DRIVE Engineering software, supposed to be available end of July 2022, PROFINET will be able to be selected in normal way in the drop down list.
