Hardware exchange from CtrlX3 to CtrlX7

Hello,
I need to swap hardware. I just want to save a backup of the old CtrlX3 and load it onto the new CtrlX7.
Unfortunately, this procedure does not work. When restoring, an error is always displayed. I have attached a picture of the error message.

How is the procedure planned to replace the hardware?

What version are you using? Backup and restore is not for switching from one control to an other.
Depending of the version you are using there is a possibility by using the setup functionality.
Or you can just save the configuration and upload it to the X7.

What do you mean by version? If you mean ctrX Works, then it's 1.12.4.

Unfortunately I don't see the place where the software version of the CtrlX is.
I've attached a picture of the two controllers. The "Setup" option is only visible in the settings for the CtrlX7.

Hello, to use X7 i recommend to update ctrlX Works to 1.20
The versions of the apps you can find either from HOME --> + install an app  or via Settings --> APPs
Or you can generate a system report and attach it here, than i can read out the version.
And here you even can find the online-help.
