Thank you for your message. The sidebar is realized as an angular component and not as an iframe.
But we discussed your idea internally and in general like it. One possibility, we could think of is to publish the sidebar component as part of our SDK. Unfortunately, we can not provide a near term solution to you, as we need to prepare certain things first. E.g. in terms of licensing. So for now there is only the option to open in a new frame. But we add your proposal to the backlog of one of our next Release Milestones.
