ctrlX Configurator - Extended product selection using type codes

Overview

Starting with release 1.2111.18 of ctrlX Configurator, the "product search & select" functionality is extended. By entering a complete or partial type code with correct values, available product variants with material number are still displayed in a list, see Fig. 1 below.

As of this version, it is now possible to add products to the configuration project via a complete or partly type code for which there is not yet a material number available. The typecode format is shown for simplified input, see Fig. 2 below.
Please note: wildcards like * or ? are not supported.

The product properties are taken over from the data in the type key for the product configuration. Missing data in the type key are replaced by default values for the product configuration. The selected product properties are listed in the Details dialog, see Fig. 3 below.

When entering a complete type key, eCAD and mCAD data can already be downloaded, see Fig. 4 below.

Finally, the product variant can be added to a solution configuration at any time and reconfigured afterwards.
